Khamsa art print

This is the ninth piece of the Sketching in Morocco collection.

On our last day in Marrakech we bought a beautiful carpet from a local vendor. He told us all about the techniques and materials that were used in the process of making it by hand. After selecting our favorite carpet and negotiating the price in a traditional way, we paid for the art piece and drank Moroccan tea together. When we left, the vendor got us 4 of these Khamsas as a blessing and protection against evil eye. 

I felt so welcome and appreciated! I had to draw this beautiful symbol.
