Grumpy Stone art print

This is the eighth piece of the Sketching in Morocco collection.

I found this stone in a tiny store on the side of the road. We were traveling back to Marrakech after 2 days of exploring the Moroccan desert. The store was filled with stone souvenirs: grumpy stones, happy stones, stone animals, bowls, plates, stone jewelry... 

For some reason this one captured my attention. I loved how small it was: it could fit in the palm of my hand. And the contrast between the stone color and the white lines on it was perfect. Later that day, when sitting on my bed in our stay in Marrakech, I drew it.
